One hour quickbytes are not only informative and enlightening – they also aim to be entertaining, and are a great way of getting teachers enthused and enabled in a particular area of elearning - you can see some of the headings under the Guidance:Quickbytes tab above. From three to five quickbytes can delivered in one day. There is no limit to the number of people attending a quickbyte session, so long as there are sufficient computers (and space) for one shared between two. All the sessions are largely hands on, but there is no need to worry if staff are a bit nervous about using I.T.; they will work in pairs and nobody will be observing their abilities. Quickbyte sessions are intended to encourage, not embarrass. More details on our website.

This course is an example of how Moodle can be used to support face to face sessions. The Moodle course is divided into Topics. The didactic content has been derived from a number of sources (see the disclaimer at the top of the main page), while the interactive content (discussions, wikis, chats, journals) have been created for demonstration purposes. As a guest on this course you can view all the content but you must not edit or update any of the interactive sections.

This example course shows the use of a number of interactive teaching tools. Moodle is based on social contructivist ideas, so learning from multiple sources and sharing that learning is very important if learning is to be enhanced.
This course is a container for the downloadable Learning Objectivity localhost implementation of Moodle 2.0 (Release Candidate 1) packaged together with Mowes II, and tweaked to enable Moodle 2.0 to run from most Windows XP, Vista and 7 machines. Note that it requires Port 80 to be available and will not therefore work if Skype is grabbing that port (see the Skype advanced options) or if IIS is running.
No warranties, no guarantees, and certainly no liability for use or results of any type accepted - we're making this available simply so you can have a play! Do not rely of Moodle 2.0 staying the same - this is only Release Candidate 1 after all - and don't use this code as a basis for a live/production version of Moodle.
Sorry, but we can't provide support for this package - it's used at your own risk, and if it doesn't work, you'll need to delve in there yourself!
This package uses other free and/or open source software whose copyrights are acknowledged. Please acknowledge Learning Objectivity if you pass the package on to anyone else. It took us a long time to get it all to work - please don't pinch it!
